If you can't annoy somebody, there is little point in writing – Kingsley Amis

This is our second attempt at playing put ’em together and what have you got?  Incase anyone has forgotten the rules, let me give you a reminder.

We take two completely conflicting statements made by Moronduuhhh on the same topic, put ‘em together and hopefully come up with the truth (or something sort of like the truth, since she wouldn’t know what the truth is even if it bit her on her bony arse).

Okay, let’s start with the photo, shall we?  The photo that seems to (in Moronduuhhh’s beady little brain anyway) have divided a nation.

Comment A:  “….We are so happy and are enjoying our time together as a family.  He is our little ray of sunshine.  Thank you everyone for your beautiful well wishes and your lovely thoughts and comments. I haven’t had a lot of time to read many comments or to respond, but please know I will when I get a chance.  The attached picture is one that Orlando took of us.  Much love Miranda and Orlando xxx” (on introducting super baby Flynn to the world)

Comment B:  “To me it is the most natural thing in the world and I love it and the bonding time we having during these precious and beautiful moments.  Honestly, I for one can say there are more breasts being shown on a daily basis around the world in swimwear and low-cut dresses and tops than there are from breast-feeding mums.” (defending her breastfeeding photo with the super baby)

When we put them together we’ve got her saying on the one hand that she wants to share this first photo of baby Flyng with all her faithful supporters (not to mention a few phatjellushaters) to show how beautiful he is, with not ONE mention of breastfeeding, then on the other hand she’s saying that she wants to promote breastfeeding and especially breastfeeding in public and how breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world (my question is, who mentioned anything about breastfeeding?).

So, what have we got?

What I think we’ve got is her attempt to deflect from the criticism she received at posting this photo as the first photo of baby Flyng.  Surely the first photo was meant to be all about him?  Why then did she use a photo where you can only see the back of his head (people saying the child is beautiful are stupid, because you can’t even see his face) and where the main subject of the photo is her boob and her smiling inanely at the camera wearing a full face of makeup?  A more appropriate first photo would possibly have been  her cradling the child in her arms and looking at him adoringly.  The only thing she’s looking at adoringly is her own reflection in the camera phone.

So when people started to point this out (because it really, truly, was glaringly obvious) she needed to make it look like it was always her intention to support the breastfeeding is natural and breastfeeding in public is okay cause.  Of course she purposely used this photo to show all the mere mortal mothers that it’s natural to breastfeed and it’s okay to breastfeed in public.  I’m sure that was her sole intent.  Because women are dumb creatures.  We couldn’t figure this out for ourselves.  We need to be instructed in basic life skills by wanna be supermodels who can barely even spell their own names.

The best part of her argument for it being unoffensive to breastfeed in public is the bit where she says ” Honestly, I for one can say there are more breasts being shown on a daily basis around the world in swimwear and low-cut dresses and tops than there are from breast-feeding mums.”    And of course, she’d know all about this, wouldn’t she?  Though I’d just like to add that she’s forgotten to mention there are more breasts being shown on a daily basis around the world in the 2010 Pirelli Calendar, various editions of FHM Magazine and GQ Magazine and a certain Russell James 2010 photoshoot on Necker Island.

What a fun game!  Anyone else want to share “what you’ve got” from the two comments?

Have you ever seen the b&w photo that Brad Pitt took of his wife breastfeeding? The caption under it said ” It’s a serene, natural and relaxed shot that reaffirms Angelina’s breathtaking beauty.” That’s what I get out of all of this. This first photo is about the dingho. Baby’s just a breathing prop.

    • I have seen the photo SadieJo and this photo is exactly what that photo was. Celebs must be stupid if they think the public is stupid enough to believe the rubbish they spin. Okay, so some of the public will believe anything, but you get the point. Unfortunately the baby has a long history as a breathing prop ahead of him, poor little darlin’.

  2. I’ll tell you what I get. An increasingly desperate, aging famewhore with a breathing prop (thank you SJ), clinging to her last glimmer of hope that someone will pay as much attention to this pic as they did Gisele’s breasfeeding controversy. That’s what.
